I'm Tera Black, owner of Elkhart Cattle Co. Our family resides near Butler, MO, on a commercial cow-calf operation. Parker, 5, and Paisley, 3, love to get dirty and get in on the daily chores. We are grateful God has granted us the opportunity to be stewards of His creation and expose our children to the responsibilities and life lessons that can only be learned on the farm. As an ABS Global Independent Beef Representative, I currently serve the west-central Missouri counties of Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Saline, & St. Clair. Whether you are breeding 1 cow or 1,000 cows, my goal is to help you achieve reproductive success by getting more cows pregnant as early in the breeding season as possible.

As a former wedding photographer, I have gained over 6 years of experience working in fast-paced, high pressure settings. Although I am no longer shooting weddings, my love of photography remains. I love to capture all aspects of country life & the wonderful folks that make up the ag industry. I also have years of design experience and love to help clients market their business and/or cattle using low cost, modern media sources.

Buford Bluestem 9974
Bluestem has made a big impact for local herds here in
Missouri. Photos in this slide show are Bluestem calves sent by Bob & Kelly Close, of Windsor MO. Bob's Bluestem calves came easy and weaned at >775 lbs at 8 months of age off of first calf heifers. The Bluestem heifers he kept back had exceptional AI conception rates. They won't be exceptionally large framed cows, but Bob thinks he is one of the most well-rounded, consistent bulls that ABS offers.
